The Small Cars
The Small Cars is a live soundtrack project and collaboration between sonic adventurers Ania Reynolds and Michael Havir, combining synthesizers, electronics and all the noise-making devices they can get their hands on to create a universe of soundscapes.
In 2006 Ania joined the Silent Box ensemble, writing and performing live soundtracks to silent films. She composed numerous works for Silent Box, including scores to 'How Men Propose' by Alice Guy-Blache, 'A Chairy Tale' by Norman McLaren, 'Symphonie Diagonale' by Vikking Eggeling and 'The Life And Death of 9413: A Hollywood Extra' by Robert Florey and Slavko Vorkapic. In 2012 she co-wrote the score to 'The Pet' by Stepanka Cervinkova with Carl Polke.
